Ballet is a dance form with a long tradition, born at the court in Italy and France in the 15th century. Ballet is based on discipline and technical skill, which is the result of long training. Strong expression, linearity and lightness of movement are characteristic features of ballet. Classical ballet has its own vocabulary for movements and choreographies are compiled mainly by combining these movements.
In ballet lessons, you practice branch-specific movements such as different balances, stretches, jumps and pirouettes, usually accompanied by classical music. Exercises are done on a bar, in the middle of the floor and through the studio. The lessons develop mobility, strength, coordination and body knowledge through branch-specific exercises. In addition, movement expression and musicality are practiced. The skills learned will be used and further developed in dance series and choreographies during the lessons. Students will also learn about the branch's traditions and history.
The training is goal-oriented and progressive from one level to another. Practicing ballet supports other dance classes well and the ballet suits you who train other dance classes for an extra hour. Ballet enthusiasts benefit from several ballet lessons a week, and we also offer separate lessons in toe-tip technique and ballet choreography. Streetdance is a collective name for the Hip-Hop related dances that appeared on the streets and clubs in the late 70's in the USA. Breaking / B-boying, locking, popping and new school are some of the styles that are considered street dance. The dance form itself is constantly evolving and follows the development of Hip-Hop music and is very personal. As a result, the style can vary greatly from teacher to teacher.

Locking & Popping
for over 6-year-olds
Several groups
Locking
Locking is a street dance style that is danced to funk music and originated on the west coast of the United States in the early 70's. Typical movements for this rhythmic, energetic dance style are, for example, lock, point, Scooby Doo and muscleman. Locking was not created to be a dance style. It was simply Don "Campbellock" Campbell who danced, put his own spin on the dance, let his creativity take over his body. It only became a form of dance when others decided to dance like him. Don Campbellock Campbell created Locking by mistake - literally - when he forgot the next step in a dance he froze. A woman in the audience laughed, so he pointed at her, so that it looked like it was part of the dance. Throughout the dance, he stopped at regular intervals and pointed back at her, much to the amusement of the audience. Comic elements are also an important part of this dance style, as is audience interaction.
In the locking lessons, you learn the basics of this fun and happy dance style and work creatively with them, as well as study the rhythm and history of locking. In addition to technique and muscle fitness, we also practice street in general, movement language and choreographies.
Popping
Poppingen is a name for several different dance styles such as boogaloo, waving, tutting, gliding and robot. Boogaloo Sam created the Popping style in the 70's in Fresno, California. Typical of the Popping style is the continuity of movement in the body like a chain reaction or as quick stops. In the lessons you practice rhythm; coordination and isolation exercises and dance series.
